കണ്ണൂർ: പഴയ ബസ് സ്റ്റാന്റിന് സമീപത്തെ കടവരാന്തയിൽ ഭാര്യയോടൊപ്പം കിടന്നുറങ്ങുകയായിരുന്ന മധ്യവയസ്കനെ ക്രൂരമായി മർദ്ദിച്ച് കൊലപ്പെടുത്താൻ ശ്രമിച്ച കേസിൽ പ്രതിയെ ടൗൺ പോലീസ് കസ്റ്റഡിയിലെടുത്തു.

ചിറക്കൽ സ്വദേശിയും ഓട്ടോ ഡ്രൈവറുമായ കെ.വി. ഗിരീഷിനാണ് (50) മർദ്ദനമേറ്റത്.സംഭവവുമായി ബന്ധപ്പെട്ട് ബസ് കണ്ടക്ടറായ മയ്യിൽ സ്വദേശി ഉജിത്തിനെ പോലീസ് പിടികൂടി. കഴിഞ്ഞ ദിവസം അർദ്ധരാത്രിയോടെയായിരുന്നു സംഭവം.
